Dr. Jerald Matt, DMD

I thought the communication between the dental hygienist and doctor was in code and failed to communicate the issues directly to me as they spoke among themselves. I was later shown plan for cavities and crowns and the ridiculous cost. I was not experiencing any discomfort. I had my Xrays and treatment plan shown to another dentist who vehemently disagreed with the plan and did not think any of the proposed treatment was necessary. I would be wary of this practice and seek a 2nd opinion

Following a painful and botched attempt to complete an implant procedure, I spent days searching on-line for another dentist. Dr. Matt emerged as the top choice. He explained the errors of the previous work, redid it, fitting all the parts perfectly and made an exacting procedure seem easy. Now 80 I speak from considerable experience with dentists and have found Dr. Matt to be the very best. He explains well and is reassuring. The high standards he exhibits are also present in his staff as they too, display a proficiency and courtesy that is unwavering. I recently moved from the area and now drive over an hour to get to his Bryn Mawr office. Having experienced the best, less is not an option.

Dr. Matt is not an orthodontist. His treatment was expensive and not helpful. I would not recommend him.

Will Never go back. Magically had 9 cavities? Reluctantly agreed to let him fill 3. Two weeks later the filling came out and he said it was the tooth? Billing person made me pay ahead of time BEFORE submitting to insurance. And gave me a ball park figure? Funny how I got a refund after leaving the practice. She also asked about a co-worker of mine asking about his insurance? Like how would I know? Totally unprofessional. Hygienist made smart comment about how I brushed? Seriously??

When looking to switch dentists 2 years ago, our top priorities were the doctor's clinical knowledge, clinical skill and ability, and that he was a continual learner in his field! Dr Matt gets an A++ in all of these areas. In addition, Dr Matt and his hygienists are proactive in their counsel ensuring that my teeth mouth and gums will have the best chance of health and wellness. His staff are all well trained, professionals, simply the best! I highly recommend Dr Matt!!

Before I became a patient of Dr. Matt, I never thought I could be one of those people who felt good about the way their teeth looked and could smile comfortably. So, as a result, I didn't. With the help of Dr. Matt and his incredible office staff, that has all changed-and so have I. I feel better about the way I look and am now someone who smiles all of the time. As the victim of a dental disaster I urgently needed to see a dentist and was given an appointment two hours after my call. I was very impressed with the efficiency, cleanliness and modernity of the office. Dr. Matt patiently explained the treatment required. I received one of the most thorough examinations of my teeth I've ever had as well as x-rays. Dr. Matt was solicitous, understanding and even followed up my office visit by calling me at home in the evening.
