I was treated by Dr. Snitzer at Louisiana Dental in Lakeside Mall today. He did my sinus lift, bone graft, & tooth implant; he was fast, extremely up-to-date on current techniques & happy to answer my unending questions. The procedure was painless; even after the local wore off, there was no discomfort (I didn't even need a baby asprin). Fillings are more painful. I've already recommended him to family and friends. An implant can fail at anytime (this is my first by him but my 3rd implant. My first was with an oral surgeon and was successful, my 2nd was by a former general dentist and it failed). I would absolutely recommend Dr. Snitzer but more than anything, I encourage you to get an implant by a perio or oral surgeon, not a general dentist. This is what these guys do so you're more likely to have a successful outcome. Don't read all of the scary stuff online, get your info from the source and know that a lot of that information is outdated. Implants have come a really long way.

Dr. Snitzer was more than kind and professional with the care he gave me for my denture implants. I have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone needing such services. He is a great asset to LSU Dental and I feel privileged to have been his patient.

If you want a dentist who cares and is respectful of your time, don’t choose Dr. Snitzer! I sat for almost 30 mins before being brought back at Lakeside Dental. Then I sat 15 mins listening to Snitzer chat about his child’s grades while leaning up against the counter to another patient. The audacity to waste someone’s time like that. I decided I didn’t want him anywhere near my teeth and told him why I was leaving as I walked out. No apology, nothing, he simply said, “good bye”. What a joke!
