The dentist injected me with anesthetic with no warning, intentionally catching me by surprise and triggering a panic response. I had just sat down in the chair and I told the dentist that I didn't like needles. I have told many doctors this and they have always made sure to give me time to relax and talk to me before I get a needle of any kind. I had JUST sat down and the dentist said he needed to take a look in my mouth. I saw the mirror and that's it. I said ok, thinking he was just taking a look and then all of a sudden I felt the needle in the back of my mouth. I instantly felt pain on the tip on my tongue and I said 'no no no'. I had no idea he was going to stick me and was completely shocked. I told him to stop and he didn't, instead moving the needle around to inject different areas. He did this on his very first look in my mouth, without any warning, and intentionally surprising me after I told him I have anxiety around needles.
