My boys have been seeing Dr Parker for over 15 yrs . He and his staff are always friendly and professional . Office is always clean . We would recommend him over and over .

Red flags!
So many red flags! Do not take your child to Dr. Parker! In eight years he has had one filling and has had nothing but positive experiences. Our regular dentist office stopped taking our private insurance this year. We tried Jason Parker at the recommendation of a friend. We will not be back. I should have known when they did not want records of prior dental care. They do not have up to date equipment and still use hand held x-ray which takes much longer. Dr. Parker came to see my son for less than a minute. He did not speak to my son at all. Dr Parker rattled off what dental work he wanted my son to have and went to leave. He said we were being referred to orthodontics, but except the website says that the office this. They then tried to schedule eight fillings for cavities that miraculously appeared in 6 months. I was also handed a handwritten note on the back of a piece of paper for me to sign saying that my son will do all treatment alone. Negative. Will not return.

My kids are always happy to see Ms. Tina for a cleaning & Dr. Parker. He and the staff have always been very sweet, especially to my non-verbal daughter, even when she tries to bite a finger during her visits.

red flags
red flag scenarioMy child asked three times to have parent in room during procedure. My child was told hold on 'we have to get you started', then once back in the room flatly denied.The procedure was completed, and child was brought to lobby. My wife, who was told by front desk she could stay with our child, was coldly confronted by the dr. Parker.The dentist stated he was not aware of child's request and it's no big deal.My wife pressed a little further stating that's not the point the hygienist was fully aware.To which the dr. creepily replied 'what, we aren't doing anything nefarious back there!'A refusal of my child's request for their parent in the room by itself is a big red flag and the response of the dentist is a second extra large red flag.Thank God it was a near miss this time. Please beware and think twice before choosing this dentist and office for your pediatric dental needs.

I have been taking my kids and grand kids to Dr. Parker's office for the last 13 years. We moved to Hammond over an hour away 8 years ago and we still traveled because the kids and myself did not want to have to find a Dr. and staff that was as caring, informative and accessible as Dr. Parker. My granddaughter chipped her tooth during playtime at school and within a few hours Dr. Parker had her fixed up and no one could tell there was ever a broken tooth ! It's such a blessing we can be seen in Covington now but if not we would still be making the trip to Metairie.

I love this office and everyone who works there especially Tina and Dr. Parker. He has been so great with my special needs daughter over the years and makes us feel very welcome. My toddler son started seeing him as well. I’ve never had issues with scheduling and I’ve never waited more than 15-20 minutes. I would definitely recommend.

My son had six cavities filled on permanent teeth as a child, he is now 19 and everyone one of those fillings has failed, causing even more problems which will have to be corrected. We left this practice when we realized what type of practice we were dealing with, and have never looked back. We do not recommend.

I would have to give this dentist and this dental office the lowest possible rating. This is what occurred to my four-year-old son. He had been brought into the office but would have been described to me as a routine fIlling in one of his back molars. I was given the option of an actual filling or a cap. The Have been described to me as a simple procedure. Upon my arrival to the office, to my dismay, I was not allowed to go up to accompany my son To be with him during the procedure. I was told

Totally unprofessional practice. Had a checkup for my son today. We have a new insurance and apparently they had a very difficult time verifying it. We have been there before for the last two years. A good practice, knowing that we have insurance per the card and speaking with the insurance company, would have allowed us to be seen and billed later if they insurance was giving problems. After waiting a full hour, I was told I'd have to reschedule, to which I declined. Unfriendly denstist too.

My son has been a patient at this office for over 3 years now. Dr Parker has yet to walk in and greet my son nor myself before digging in his mouth. Once he's finished he tells the assistant whatever diagnosis and leaves, without a farewell to me nor my son. My son was scheduled a procedure back in September but couldn't go through with it. Well I paid on the procedure and mr Parker refuses to reimburse because he states I'm wasting him and his staffs time. Afterwards he hung up in my face.
