Dr. Jantraveus Merritt, DMD

I have taken my daughter to 5 orthodontists. All were fine and informed me of what needed to be done but all were unsure of the result and all had different ideas that made me decide to wait. I went to Dr. Merritt expecting to hear a new approach and boy was I right. He said wait. He could’ve just stuck her in braces and then I would’ve had to redo them later. He explained carefully that it would be best to wait and let her growth stop. This is putting patient care over money. Highly recommend.

Dr. Merritt is beyond amazing and simply exceptional! My experience with him was very impressive. His level of professionalism is worth noting. I can appreciate his apparent knowledge of what he’s doing. He is conscientious about his work and clearly his work ethic is a direct result of a spirit of excellence philosophy. Dr. Merritt is an outstanding orthodontist. My daughter had issues with her baby teeth coming out late and then her adult teeth not coming in. Together we went through several steps in her treatment (she was 9 at the time). She had to have a tooth extracted, another one surgically exposed, a palate expander, and phase 1 braces. In just over a year, all of this treatment is complete. She has a beautiful smile thanks to Dr. Merritt. He was kind, patient, thorough, and friendly. Highly recommended!

Dr. Merritt is the best Orthodontist ever! My experience with him was excellent. He’s a pleasure to be around, always smiling and demonstrates great patience and kindness to his patients. I got braces as an adult and so it was difficult for me and my gums were very sensitive in addition to my TMJ dysfunction. Yet, he was able to make my orthodontic experience a very positive one with his flexibility and lenience. Try Dr. Merritt and you will not be disappointed!!

I am so glad that I decided to have Dr. Merritt and his team oversee my experience with braces. After a year and a half, my braces finally came off today and I couldn’t be happier with the results. I’m so in love with my smile! Dr. Merritt is super professional, super positive, and always willing to answer any questions/concerns that I might have. If I could give him a thousand stars I would!

He is amazing!!! My son is autistic and very aprehendive when it comes to dentists (total meltdowns), he treated him with such care, respect and built a rapport with him. My son trusted him and his staff. He is very kind, patient and explains everything he does. His staff knew my son and went out of their way to make him feel comfortable. Dr. Merritt is amazing! He sincerely cares about his patients! He answered all of my questions with a smile, and an answer that I could understand. He made my son (9 years old) and myself aware of every step of Phase I braces. My son is not the easiest patient because he has a fear of dentist/dental procedures. On several occasions Dr. Merritt came in and reassured my son, and finished whatever the assistant was working on. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Merritt for any orthodontic work!

Dr.Merritt is great!!!! He gives realistic expectations and great dental advice. Dr.Merritt and the dental assistants always make my visits fun. I referred a friend and her experience has been just as good as mine. Did I mention he gave me the perfect smile in less than 12 months?!

Great service

I had braces twice with two different providers and wasn't thrill about the results. I decided to give it one last attempt. Within the third tray of Invisalign I saw sufficient improvement and I'm very please with the results so far. Dr. Merritt always answers and addresses any questions or concerns I have. I'm very please with his service and the wonderful staff.

Dr. Merritt is great with my kids and does a great job with their teeth. I've had 4 kids kids with braces with him and it has been a really good experience.

I won't even recommend this orthodontist my enemies ! He's very young and apparently he has no experience , but this is not the issue , everyone has to start somewhere right ? The issue is his attitude of I can't do better than this and I can't achieve the result you want . He wanted to close my treatment with my molars sticking out and not aligned with the rest , he straight up told me he couldn't get them straight . Horrible horrible and very inexperienced orthodontist !
