Dr. Stein incorrectly diagnosed me as not having temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction (TMD). I subsequently learned from another dental specialist at Tufts Medical Center that I do in fact have TMD, and my symptoms are now being treated properly.

From my first visit, Dr. Stein took the time to discuss my options with me, explore similar cases he had treated, and discuss my concerns and questions. I found this to be professional, comforting, and immensely helpful. Ultimately, he worked collaboratively with periodontist while I underwent a number of gum grafts. During this time, he provided ongoing care as well as beautiful temporaries that I was already more pleased with than my prior caps. I was impressed by how much of the cosmetic work Dr. Stein does on his own. He is truly an artist, a ceramicist, as well as an exemplary Doctor. During the process of developing my final caps, Dr. Stein was open to hearing my input on what I wanted in terms of shape, color, and overall aesthetic. His understanding on how personal teeth and one's smile can be aided the process and, ultimately, led me me being incredibly pleased with my new front teeth. I cannot thank him, his team, and his lovely office staff enough!

Dr. Stein tells you he is in charge..When in the chair, yells at you "DON'T MOVE' DID YOU HEAR ME.. I paid him over $2000 for incomplete work..a bridge that is not finished..Asked him to refill a few deep and damaged cavities..Got angry. Told me he could not do that now..To focus on my bridge. Told him after surgery I was in mouth pain..Told me there is nothing he could help with. Except now wanted to charge me for another set of xrays and a teeth cleaning.. Bottom line-Stay Away!!!Overcharges

I like going to the dentist. Dr. Stein fixed a slew of fairly serious problems with my teeth. He has a huge amount of experience with crowns and implants. He explains the options patiently, clearly, and with good humor. I would be in much worse shape now if I had stayed with the local dentist I was seeing before I went to Dr. Stein.
