The dental care received by Dr. James Pelan and his staff was excellent. If you don't mind overpaying and being lied to this is the dentist for you. The billing issues were a nightmare. Both my husband and I presented our Delta Dental of RI cards along with our Blue Cross for Medicare cards. At no time were we informed that these were not accepted at the rates stated on our plans. My husband went to him first and, as he has extensive dental issues, did not at first realize he was being overcharged. He was told by Jennifer in billing each time he went that there was a balance owed. She also told him that the Blue Cross was "used up" and, finally, that Delta Dental was also (a call to them confirmed he has over $400.0 left this year ending 6/30/20). Unaware of these issues I had my first appointment where there was an examination and x-rays. After that I was informed I was "cleared" to schedule a cleaning. Afterward Jennifer informed me that I owed $85.00 that day. As I knew I had 100%
