Dr. Irina Sumenko, DDS

Great dentist, I would recommend Dr. Sumenko to anyone. I have been a patient for over a decade, and must say that she really understands dentistry like no other. I am 56 years old and have been to a lot of dentists in my life.

Dr Sumenko is the best! Our family has been going to her for about 4 years, and I have to say, every part of the experience has been really good. Firstly she has a great heart and is a very kind soul. She has a great way of communicating whatever the dental issue is, what she would like to do and how she will do it. She explains all the options and prices, and is extremely cost conscious- always working for the patient’s best interests. She is really good with children. My daughter sometimes was scared and Dr Sumenko was either able to coax her gently to accept the treatment or let us know that we don’t have to do it now, and try again another time. With my top front teeth, over the years they had small chips and were uneven on the bottom edge. A previous dentist tried to sell me on veneers for a few thousand $$, telling me it’s better to do it now because it’s only going to get worse. This would have involved grinding my good teeth down to stumps. I said no. Dr Sumenko had a better id

I can't understand how this doctor can generate anything but rave reviews. She is intelligent, caring and meticulous. She stays clear gimmicky items that run up costs and goes to heroic lengths to salvage the teeth that can be salvaged

Completely cold, unprofessional dentist. It’s almost surprising that someone like this has a running practice on Wilshire Blvd. She quoted me over $900 for a crown that I was told wouldn’t need a root canal by an endodistist, then she contradicts that consultation that she literally sent me to by saying it still might need a root canal anyways. Which is fine, but when I asked about nitrous for my extreme anxiety this dental work gives me, she acted annoyed by my simple questions and told me I need to make a decision. I would never let this woman anywhere near me with a needle and instruments.

Absolutely awful dentist...I simply asked a few too many questions about my crown being covered by insurance and I got dismissed from their office. They basically wanted me to shell out $1000+ dollars without asking questions to qualify as good patient. Go somewhere else if you don't want to get scammed.

Dr. Sumenko has always taken her time and great care to carefully assess and diagnose my issue. Also, her work is much less painful than any other dentist I have been too. I do not dread going to the dentist anymore!

Dr. Sumenko is the best. in fact, I have been flying in just to see her for a couple f years now. She is that good. She may not necessarily tell you what you want to hear, but she will tell you what's good for your dental health in the long run. I never regretted listening to to her advise

Dr. Sumenko is awful. Not the least bit friendly. Didn't remember who I was. Didn't bother reading my chart before talking to me. Avoid at all costs. There are too many other dentists in the city to see.

she was unfriendly, i told them if i pay for full mouth x-ray can i get a copy of the digital and she said we don' do digital xray. I said so i get it somewhere else becasue my insurance pay one time only can i come back with the x-ray, and she got upset and telling me why don't you make up your mind what doctor you want to pick and then decide. she left the exam room and next thing i know they charge my insurance for a visit and when i called to tell her i have my x-ray, they ignored me.

Dr. Sumenko is always so professional and friendly. I always feel like I am in good hands. I have been going to Dr. Sumenko for years and she has helped me with many different tooth issues. I don't fear going to the dentist when I go to Dr. Sumenko because I know I won't be in any pain!
