Dr. Gloria Chen, DDS

This will be a long one.. I began seeing Dr. Chen in October 2021 after noticing a visible cavity on one of my lower teeth. Upon my first visit with her, she claimed there was something wrong with every single tooth I had, and instead of fixing my teeth, she insisted I pay her cash for a weekly "procedure" so she adjusts my jaw.. mind you, there's nothing wrong with my jaw, and I wasn't about to splurge $300/$400 a week for 9 weeks with a visible cavity in my mouth. Visit after visit, my beautiful teeth began to deteriorate. I complained to Chen about numbing, intense pain on my upper left side area in January, February and June of 2022. She disregarded my pain and implied I was making it up because she didn't see anything wrong. I was drugging myself to sleep and eat due to the pain. Beginning in June 2022, it got worse. The fillings she did turned BROWN, I had a brown line down the middle of my front tooth, the fillings did NOT match my other teeth and they had a rough, unpleasant

My appt didn't start until 40 minutes after arrival because none of my information was correct or prepared. The cleaning itself was done well, but I was there for 2 hours! Dr. Chen was adamant on discussing composite bonding to enhance my face and smile, and her spiel took up most of the appt time. I simply came in for a cleaning - I should've been in and out.

I felt very uncomfortable being in her office. I was scheduled for a cleaning and she was so unfocused that 1.5 hours went by and I never got a cleaning. I asked about Invisalign and she told me that it would not help me because I'm unpretty and the only thing that would help me would be veneers, muscle relaxers for my face, and LIP INJECTIONS!! Left feeling terrible about myself.

Great dentist, very knowledgeable and cares about you and your health. Definitely has your best interests at heart.
