Dr. George Soropoulos, DDS

No issue with Dr Soropoulos as a professional but his office billing practices are questionable. Twice my family was overcharged. The first time, after some back and forth, Melissa recognized the mistake and sent a refund check. The second time, after repeatedly hearing 'you know how insurance companies are, sometimes they cover, sometimes they don't', I decided to consult Cigna about the bill. I was told that the bill did not seem right and asked if I wanted Cigna to review it, which I agreed to. It turned out that East Boca Dental was not following Cigna's price agreements and was overcharging, including double counting some procedures. I ended up receiving two refund cheques from East Boca Dental, together with a letter from Melissa stating that my family was no longer welcome at their practice. As if we were the ones at fault! No need for a letter, we would never ever return to that office.

I am super picky when it comes to a dentist. My teeth were butchered when I was young. If a dentist tells me I have even a cavity, I get a second opinion and will always return to the dentist who first diagnosed it. I've returned to Dr. Soropoulos many times. He's an honest dentist and in my experience, hard to find. Plus he has state of the art equipment and he is gentle and caring. This is a dental office I am writing a review specific to Dr. Soropoulos.

The place seemed very clean and did not wait at all. I had a cleaning and was very gentle and thorough. No pain at all. Everyone was professional and would reccomend to others.
