Dr. Emilie Schenck, DDS

The office is nice, and the wait time is moderate, staff is relatively friendly. My issues are with Dr. Schenck; she is very harsh, rude, abrasive, difficult to deal with, she does not take the patients input or request into consideration and if you don't agree with her she will not treat you. I'm looking for another dentist.

Concerned for me, sings while she works! Direct and helpful. Makes me want to do better with my teeth. Courteous staff. Good COVID protections too. A++

This doctor is about skimming money over patients care. They rarely answer the phone and never return messages but are quick to charge you as much as they can get out of you. The receptionists reflect the pompous, greater than though attitude. If you question about a procedure Dr. Schenck is the most arrogant person I've met in the medical field. If something goes wrong and have to go back it is always the patient's fault. They inflate the cost of procedures so they can give you a "discounted price." It's not! The services rendered is poor and arguably poor so that you have to return to fix a problem and, you guest it, pay more money. The red flag from the first visit for a basic cleaning and never used actually cleaned my teeth. Rather she took several Xrays and told me how bad my teeth were. I got flossed. That was something. I would not trust her or her revolving staff. I can't imagine why no one stays very long. Awful. There are so many great dentist. Not here though.

I've never been so upset going to the dentist in my life, not even as a child. The receptionist doesn't answer the phone most of the time you call so when I was running late I didn't call to tell them. Then she had the audacity to call me and complain that I was 10 minutes late! Standing outside in the Louisiana sun waiting to be let in the office was no fun either. And the receptionist even commented that I knocked too many times! Dr. Shenck's bedside manner also leaves a lot to be desired. Don't go here unless you want to be made to feel very unimportant and uncomfortable.

After seeing Dr Schenek for an initial evaluation, I woke up one morning with several ulcers on my gums. I called Dr Schenek & was able to come in immediately that day. I had been sleeping with my upper dentures in, which had caused the problem. She diagnosed the issue correctly & prescribed medicine that cleared up the problem in 2 days. Her staff was very helpful and friendly. Debbie is particularly awesome. I recommended Dr Schenek to my neighbor for her dental work.

It’s been a long time since I visited a dentist. The entire staff made me feel comfortable from the beginning. It was truly a good dental experience.

I have to disagree with all of these glowing reviews. While Dr. Schenck had a great bedside manner and her staff was really nice, I was told that I needed $10K worth of dental work. They wanted to do a "deep cleaning" that day, which can be painful. I didn't have enough time and wanted to think about all that and get a second opinion. Went back to my longtime dentist, Dr. Clark (who isn't on my insurance plan anymore) and he determine all I needed was $1700 worth of work. And not deep cleaning.

Exceptional knowledge and gentleness; my daughter just had a rather large filling done and experienced no pain or discomfort and she said the staff were AWESOME!!!
