Dr Addicks said I needed two crowns. One of the teeth was giving me problems but the other was not. I listened to his advice and got the two. When I got to my appointment the payment they requested was twice as high as originally quoted to me. They then tried to tell me I misunderstood. I paid the full amount of $1,600. They assured me if insurance came through they would refund me the overpayment of $800.00. Submitted to my insurance. First submission was denied due to the quality of their X-rays (or maybe because i didn’t really need it!). After appealing the decision I won and the insurance company sent EOB stating my share was $828.00. After 3 years, a complaint with the Maryland attorney general and filing suit, I still don’t have my refund. Worse yet even though I had no prior issues with that tooth, I had to have two root canals and finally an extraction due to his incompetence

Not a very good dentist, tells his patients their gums are inflamed and prescribes a mouthwash and refuses to do a cleaning then makes you schedule another appointment. Has done this to several patients, a little shady if you ask me.

I just took my special needs daughter to see Dr. Atticus for the first time today. I attempted to explain to the doctor that my daughter does not speak outside of the home due to severe anxiety. He attempted to force her to speak even getting close to her face holding her head and offering her stickers if she said just two words to him. When I spoke for her he indicated the reason why she’s not speaking is because I always speak for her knowing nothing of her history.

After 20 years I never had a problem with the guy. Not even one. Had multiple bridges, crowns and fillings. No problems.
