Dr. Donald Miller Jr, DDS

Bad experience related to a question regarding the need for service outside office hours (availability/unavailability). Negative experience related to the consistent wrangling I experienced to be required by the office staff Mary for the years we've been patients to do business with Dr. Miller. Recently, I sought clarification of the policy for emergency care and Mary told me to go somewhere else if I had an emergency before my scheduled appointment. A few days later I received a letter from Dr. Miller discharging me as a patient. Rough handling of patients; poor relationship & communication skills.

My family and I have been going to Dr. Miller for over 25 years. Within the past two weeks, my husband past away and I was panicked over losing my dental insurance. I let the receptionist, Mary, know of my dire situation and was hoping to get in a cleaning and crown before I lost my insurance. Mary didn't think it could be done within the three months I had before my insurance coverage ran out. I let her know that I'd check with another dentist (the wife of someone I work with) to see if they could me in just so I could get the work done. So instead of understanding my situation, Mary sent out a letter dropping me as a patient. When I asked to speak with the dentist and she refused me access to him. What kind of person/practice does that when a long-term patient is grieving their spouse after a family tragedy and is in a difficult situation?

Dr. Don is FANTASTIC. I was very scared of dentist after some rather bad experiences as a child. Dr. Miller was great at calming me, making sure I was aware of what was to be done, and very concerned that I was not in pain. Both my daughter and I have been patients for over 25 years.
