Misrepresented my insurance coverage
I was told that my responsibility would be $169 and insurance would pay the rest. After beginning treatment they said they were mistaken and I now owed them $3,000. I don't have that kind of money and would not have gotten the work done at that price, but they refuse to accept the original quote.

Dr. Derek Wirth has been my dentist since we moved Whidbey Island 4 years ago. He is patient, kind, explains procedures and options, never appears hurried. He is the best dentist I've had in years! Kris is a terrific dental hygienist explaining how to improve gum health and which areas need special attention. Patti in the front office is always ready with a smile and an answer if there is a billing or insurance question. A wonderful family dental practice!

The whole staff at this office are knowledgeable, compassionate and very helpful! They make you feel comfortable from sitting in the chair getting worked on to figuring out what the insurance will pay for! Everyone has a job to do and they all work like one big well oiled machine. I have been recommending this office to friends for years!

When I first saw Dr. Derek it had been many years since I had seen a dentist due to a series of bad experiences. My teeth were in rough shape and I needed a lot of work done. Dr. Derek was patient, kind, and very understanding. It’s now been a few years, many crowns, re-done fillings and an implant, and I couldn’t be happier or more at ease! He’s also a perfectionist!
