Dr. David Sherberg, DMD

Dr Sherberg is all about the $. I am a snowbird and while in Florida I had a 4 tooth bridge come loose and fall out. I went to him to have it cemented back in place. He said that he could not do that because the root was cracked. But he could do implants for $$$$$. So I decided to have that done at home in the Spring. I went without front upper teeth for 3 and 1/2 months while in Florida. (Thank god for COVID masks to hide behind) At home in May, I went to my regular dentist expecting to need implants. He took my bridge, did a little clean up and cemented it back in place. It is good as ever. So Dr Sherberg of Bayway Dental will take your money, but don’t bother him with inexpensive procedures that might save you months of embarrassment. It’s not in his best interest.

I've been to many dentists over the years and this one actually came up with a plan to fix ALL my problems. He listened carefully and offered me not 1 but 3 different options to pick from. I ended up meeting with him 3 different times because I had many questions. I was only charged for 1 visit which was nice. Then came time for the work. I LOVE that I don't feel the needle AT ALL. I was offered IV sedation that I did for the major work too. I was able to finally get over my fears and get a decent smile and CHEW again. I LOVE Dr. Sherberg!

I schduled an appointment for this office 10/30/20, Upon arrival I was greeted by a nice young lady at the front desk who assisted me with the check-in process, After a few minutes I was taken to the back for my evaluation and given my options on what I could do for my situation (The DR was brief and disrespect). I sat with a young man to structure a payment plan that worked for me and made my initial payment for service and was taken back to have the procedure done. I waited an additional 35 minutes before the receptionist from the front desk came to ask if I could come back at 11:30 because the DR was busy with another patient, which I declined because of my childcare situation. I waited an additional 20 minutes before the DR came in. During that time I was scheduling another appointment. He came in and told me I needed to end my phone call because he was NOW ready to work. Not to mention the conversation only lasted 3mins before he walked and told his assistant to reschedule my

Hard sell. High priced over what insurance considered acceptable; doesn't matter to the Dr, he gets his money from them or from you so he doesn't care. Always pushes for a higher priced procedure. Dismissive attitude, like don't question me. Didn't like that I wanted to get a second opinion. Sure charged the insurance company quick enough. When I asked about treating an infection, he said antibiotics wouldn't help. Funny, the new dentist said it was from not having a good cleaning in over a year (other medical issues prevented it). Seriously, avoid if at all possible. Wolf in sheep's clothing, starts out nice, but is anything but looking to perform the most work and tries to scare you into it. Glad we're done after one appointment. Found great 5 star rated practice.

I moved to Florida four years ago. Requiring dental work I made an appointment with Bayway Dental. At the time I needed a veneer replaced and received a quote. At the time I thought the price seemed high as compared with what I had paid for veneers while living in Michigan, but elected to have the work performed because I genuinely liked the dentist and his staff. The office was modern and the dental equipment was up to date. Over the last four years they replaced several veneers and performed an implant. I referred at least six new customers to include my wife and father in law, who spent over $35,000 with Bayway. I recently cracked an old veneer that required a replacement. The Doc squeezed me in this morning, performed the prep work and the temporary and then handed me a bill for $1588! I questioned the high price, asked for an accommodation and was denied. I agreed to move forward, paid in full, and left. I stopped for coffee on the way home. There was a dentist office next door. I

Terrible bedside manner. Read other reviews, this so called doctor always offers the most expensive solution regardless of your means.

Brand new office - décor, equipment and every comfort possible. Friendly and compassionate staff. Kelly is a fabulous and gentle hygienist - even with my serious problems.
