Dr. David Kaplan, DMD

I have contacted Dr. Kaplan because a friend recommended him to me. I had a root canal poorly done 2 years ago, which was done by other Doctor. The tooth got infected, and I was experiencing a terrible pain. I contacted Dr. Kaplan after hours during a week end, and he prescribed an antibiotic, and a pain reliever, along with advice related to my problem. He gave me an immediate appointment over the phone ,and treated me as an emergency patient. He removed the tooth in less than half an hour, without me noticing this, and with no pain for the extraction. He placed a synthetic bone draft, and I am ready to get an implant, waiting for the healing. The implant will be done by him I appreciate that we still can find Doctors like him in Upstate New York, who goes out of his way to help a patient in need. Dentists who have the knowledge like Dr. Kaplan,should be able to perform this kind of job, without sending the patient to an oral surgeon Doctor, avoiding a waste of time, and stress. RPR

Dr. Kaplan has been our family dentist for 30+ years and has provided our family with excellent care. He is kind, thoughtful and caring. I have old childhood fears about dentists and he has always been very open and patient with me. When we have had a dental emergency he has gone the extra distance to provide emergency care immediately. His staff is wonderful and as caring as he is. We have recommended him to our friends many times and they always thank us for the recommendation.

Dr. Kaplan makes his money by doing root canals even when your tooth just needs a new filling. Anyone who has Kaplan as a dentist has at least 5 root canals. I tested this out when I challenged Kaplan and got a second opinion. It has been five years and I never needed that unnecessary work. Dentists are like mechanics in that respect. Kaplan is a shady dentist.
