Dr. Clifton Speaks, DMD

I spent an hour and a half getting ready to see Dr. Speaks for about 3 minutes, during which he told me he would give me the smile he wanted or no smile at all. In our extremely brief conversation he said that he wanted to remove one of my (perfectly healthy) teeth, then said his reasoning was 'bad things can happen' if we didn't and 'it's not good.' These are, as you can see, very technical justifications. He also said that 'someone out there will do it for you, but not me,' meaning it's meaning it's not universally seen as 'not good,' it was just his opinion. I did not come to him for opinions and I do not want to live with a smile HE likes for the rest of my life - I want one I like. I walked out 2 minutes later. It's obvious he works mostly with children who don't have the right to say no. I encourage anyone going here to have a backbone, because that's all it takes to not be treated by Dr. Speaks and I highly recommend not being treated by him.

I found Dr. Speaks on a referral and I am forever grateful! He is the nicest, most qualified orthodontist around. His team is so competent and friendly, I am so happy to call them friends after my time in his office. Dr. Speaks quoted a time period of 2.5 - 3 years with braces, and I got them off in 2 years and 2 months! I very much appreciate the accuracy and efficiency! My treatment wasn't an easy case either... I would only recommend Dr. Speaks to anyone looking for an Orthodontist! :)
