Dr Fortin is unprofessional and egotistical. When I questioned why my RCT seemed to go very badly and why the dental assistant performed most of it and damaged my gums, he responded very arrogantly that I didn’t know what I was talking about. Fast forward a few years .. that root canal has failed and I have to have it redone.

During a root canal appointment at American Dental Care in Dover, by Dr. Fortin, I was put at ease. Unfortunately, I had excessive pain following the procedure and I called their emergency "on-call" phone number 6 x over the weekend after the procedure and never received a call back. I am unconvinced I even needed the procedure and would not recommend them due to their false advertising about emergency services.

Excellent dentist. My teeth need a lot of work. Dr. Fortin is an outstanding dentist. Teeth look great with no pain. Highly recommend him. Five stars.

The office staff could have been a bit friendlier and attuned to my specific needs. Technician and Doctor could have spent more time explaining procedure and step by step progress in the 2 1/2 appt.
Practice seems to be focused on money and receiving money as I got 2 calls and 2 in office reminders of my co- pay for this procedure. Unfortunately this takes away from the intent of taking care of dental concerns and specific needs of patient being met.

Everyone at American Dental have been so kind, understanding, and caring. I stopped going to dentists because most were very harsh on me as they had difficulty working on my small mouth. American Dental is the total opposite. I'm very glad to have found them.
I have a chronic cough that is aggravated when laying down. Dr Fortin did my filling with me sitting up. I'm sure it wasn't easy but am so very appreciative of his extra efforts for my comfort.

I went in for an extraction two times. Both times, he used one of my incisors as leverage to pull the bad tooth. He pushed on it so hard that it hurt.
He and his dental assistant were very judgmental toward me about my teeth. He said that my tooth didn't need to be pulled, that I could have gotten a root canal. He acted like cost wasn't prohibitive. Root canals cost much more than extractions on average. I didn't have the money.
Lower your prices, and I'll be able to get the care I need.

When I contacted the office, I'd explained I had a small cavity needing repair & asked they not make an appt. unless he would do that. I do not have the time to keep coming and said this is what I needed. When there for appt. met with hygienist who said yes, small hole there but Fortin does not have any time to fill it. I did not meet with Fortin and nothing was done. I was there a couple of minutes. They charged me $99.00 for nothing. I paid them but wow, am I mad. What a rip off!

Dr. Fortin entered my room wearing gloves from another patient's room. He removed the gloves upon entering the room and threw them in the garbage. After that, he proceeded to don another pair of gloves as he began discussing my dental work. I asked him if he would mind washing his hands before starting my procedure. He asked me if I would like him to wash the gloves, too, as the gloves would be touching me not his hands. I am concerned about his total disregard for standard practice.
