Dr. Christopher Anene, DMD

My dental HMO coordinated this appointment back in February. This gave the dentist office ample time to ready the visit. I rcvd a call 4/19 to confirm & I did on 4/23. On 4/25 & 4/26 the day before & day of, i had 2 missed calls - amongst the calls i deal with for work w builders, contractors & hospice for my dad. When I retured the call on the way to my appt, The lady is rude saying she's left multiple messages. 2 is not multiple. She stated I was not assigned to them & could not do the appt. I called Cigna & they said that's not true. Cigna rep called to ask them personally to accept me and they refused. This office had 2 months to get everything together, esp when she called me to have me confirm my appt. This was nothing but incompetence. Had she done her job in the first place then she would have known there was a minor issue and she could have fixed this months ago. Highly unprofessional and rude.

Dr. Anene is not a bad dentist, but his front staff is horrible. You can call during business hours but there is a minimal chance they will answer. If you leave a voice mail, they may call you back or they may listen to it and never call you back, even if it's to make an appointment. When I got desperate to make an appointment due to tooth pain I had to call consistently. This has been a trend for the past few years in which he was my dentist. The straw that broke the camels back for me is that they scheduled me for an appointment, told me the wrong day, and now are trying to charge me a fee for their mistake. (She even had the audacity to tell me she "reminded me" about the appointment on the day they made it for me and lied to me about given me a reminder call for the incorrectly scheduled appointment). I went to the office to collect my records and to let Dr. Anene know of the situation, however the office manager, who created the bad situation, would not allow it.

This is a wonderful and helpful office. The front desk is very friendly and the hygienist and Dr Anene are very thorough. My whole family attends this office. GREAT!!!

He is the worst dentist I've ever used. Following his crown prep., I was in severe pain. He sent me for a root canal that didn't help. I then contacted Dr. Offutt, a gum surgeon who found a shard of tooth (from the crown prep) & removed it. He said the temp crown needed to be re-installed. Dr Anene said he couldn't do it given gum distortion. I found another dentist who was able to help me. Also, my emergency phone calls to Dr. A's office were ignored by his daughter/administrator.

Office staff is rude. They keep canceling my appointment 2 time. Finally they called 1 day prior to appointment day me at 3pm to confirm appointment and they expect me to return call in 2 hrs and if have not return call they will cancel your appointment. Also stuff not given enough information to share with my insurance company

A kind,gentle & highly skilled dentist. THe office manager has excellent people skills and is highly knowledgeable about dental challenges & procedures. Dr. Anne has an excellent network of specialists-- endo, perio.
