Will not see this dentist again.
During a procedure, Dr. Staples had my lip pressed against my nose, and I had fluid in the back of my throat. I could not breath, as I was afraid I would aspirate on the fluid in the back of my throat. I tried to communicate with him there was a problem by lifting my hand to point at my nose. Not only did he disregard my request, but he expressed irritation at my disruption of his work. ‘I’m almost finished.’ Meanwhile I started having a panic attack because I couldn’t breath. When he was finished with his work, he threw his tools on the tray and stormed out of the room like a petulant child. He never came back to speak with me about the procedure or what happened. The hygienist finished cleaning up while I sat in the chair crying. Worst experience I’ve ever had with a dentist. I would recommend him to no one. In my experience this man shouldn’t work with people as he has no compassion, patience or bedside manner.

Dr. Staples is easy to speak with. He effectively corrected a situation where the sealant on my teeth from childhood started to cause cavities. The hygienists at the office are kind and gentle when working. They check in with my comfort level throughout the cleaning.

I had the visit from hell that I will never forget. My first root canal & last there. He didn't fully numb me. I told him it hurt & he said it will be a little uncomfortable. Is the anesthesia NOT included in the over $1,000 procedure? Seriously? He should have given another injection as it was nerve PAIN. He told me to breathe in deeply the nitrous gas (because that totally helps numb pain-not). He also literally burned me. Yep. Yes, the cauterize or whatever it is called the filling to put a temp crown. Well, he did the tooth AND my lip. I complained and he said he didn't burn me. Okay, um... why is my lip blustered like someone punched me in the face?! He also shaved the tooth too low and I have permanent sensitivity because the gum receded & my nerve is exposed. Thanks. My general dentist that didn't do root canals did my crown. He said the filling of the roots was sloppy. This dentist should NOT do root canals. Go to an endodontist. I saved $50 & now have permanent sensitivity.
