Dr. Carmeliza Obana Dela Paz, DDS

First of all the doctor looked nothing like the photo I saw on the internet. Second, everything at the appointment was rushed. The X-Rays. The talking. The exam.Third Dr. de la Paz insisted I have one of those tests where they stick your gums and yell out numbers. I had just had a deep cleaning 1.5 years ago and said so. I said I just want a regular cleaning, but she insisted on the gum test and then insisted I needed another deep cleaning. Fourth, during the sticking of my gums, the doctor was fast and hurt me bad enough that I yelled Ow! She did not apologize, or slow down or even remove her hands from my mouth. She just kept going.Overall I felt rushed and bullied.I canceled my next appointment at which she had planned to do a crown, two re-fillings and one side of my mouth with deep cleaning, which sounds like a lot of work at one appointment. I will not return.

Worst experience ever with a dentist. Dr Paz's extremely rough technique and poor listening skills are bad enough. But there's more. I scheduled an appointment to get my teeth cleaned. Instead Dr Paz conducted an exam before that happened. She then put a plan together for me including deep cleaning, night guard, gum surgery. I get my teeth cleaned regularly and don't have a problem with bleeding gums, I don't grind my teeth - never have. Anyway, I don't trust Dr. Paz and the entire experience felt predatory. My teeth were not cleaned instead an appointment was made for deep cleaning, which I canceled.
