Dr. Barbara Bowman-Hensley, DMD

I have been a patient of Dr Bowman-Hennsley for over 15 years. Before moving to Asheville I asked the leading dentist in my city for a recommendation and he suggested her as a colleague who kept up with the latest in dentistry and was valued by both patients and professionals. Dr B and her staff are kindness and expertise personified and my family and I have been very grateful for her fine care. I should have written this review long ago.

After a full X-ray, examination and cleaning I was informed I needed to have a crown ($1,350) and filling ($285). An appointment was made and when I returned to have the work done, Dr. B-H said she would need another X-ray of the tooth she was working on. After I was given the novacane I was told the X-ray showed that another crown was needed adjacent to the initial crown (another $1,350!). At that point, I stated I needed a second opinion and walked out of the clinic. After consulting with another dentist, including an oral exam and full mouth X-ray, it was determined that neither of the teeth she recommended crowns were actually in need of dental intervention. I saved myself over $2,500 and lots of pain.

Amazing dental experience every time I go. I highly recommend this office to everyone
