Dr. Amith Shetty, DDS

I saw Dr.Amith Shetty for a second opinion after being recommended 4 root canals and an extraction and implant by a previous dentist. Turns out I needed 4 fillings and an extraction and no root canals at all. Dr. Shetty was patient and gave me enough time during consult and listened to all my fears. I have always been scared of dental office visits and this had to be my first pleasant experience. Couldn’t recommend Dr. Shetty more. He’s the best there is

Life saver!! After putting up with a broken crown on my back lower molar, it started causing me so much pain- of course on a holiday week - and i just wanted a dentist to pull out the part of the crown that was digging into my gum. My regular dentist couldn’t see me until the next day or after the weekend. I dialed 1800 DENTIST and was referred to the emergency dentist office in Roseville. Dr Amith Shetty checked it out and listened to my history and my apprehension about pulling it. I had been told by my retiring dentist that it would need an oral surgeon. The wonderful Dr Shetty had it out two minutes after the generous Novocain was on board. Assistant Ifrah was so patient and caring prepping me and giving me discharge instructions.All in all I was in and out in less than an hour! That’s even with having to fill out new patient paperwork. Originally they said they couldn’t see me until the next day but then called me back when there was a cancellation

Dr Shetty saw me on an emergency visit - he indicated to me I needed two root canals. Quoted me the price and set up time to do the root canals. Part way through the first one he stated that he could not finish as my root was too thin and he was afraid he might poke through the tooth. He refered me to an Endo. I went to the Endo and he asked me if Dr Shetty had told me the first tooth was cracked significantly - he had not. He stated that he could do the root canal but likely I would loose the tooth in a year or so. Better treatment would be to remove the tooth altogether. He then asked me about what paint I was in with the second tooth - none at all. He tested the tooth and stated no root canal was needed - simply a filling. He admitted it was a deep filling but not bad enough to be a root canal as I was not having any issues with that tooth at all. He stated he could see both of these things on the x-rays provided by Dr. Shetty. I feel Dr. Shetty was more interested in the $$$$ from two root canals then the actual well being of me and my true needs. I do not recommend Dr. Shetty at all. Though he seems genuinely concerned about you, he has other things in mind.

Dr. Shetty even did not talk to me unless I pay money upfront. I said, my insurance covers a treatment, but they did not want to look at my insurance card. After appointment i got home and contacted my insurance and got confirmation if coverage. After a process I dental clinic refunded money, but it was nervous to me. Beware, dr. Shetty is a businessman rather than a doctor.
