I wanted a cleaning so I called this office. I was told that I needed to see the doctor first which seemed reasonable. I was seen fairly quickly. I heard one girl instructing another on how to use the x-ray unit (a handheld one, nice). Well, with no finesse, she put that device asking me to bite when there was no room to bite without hurting me (I’m sure you know). The doctor came in and gave me a cursory exam. He told me that while it wasn’t a ‘deep cleaning’, they needed to do an extra cleaning on me. I’m the first to say that a do have a few heavy build up areas in my mouth. Upon leaving the room he mentioned that one of the girls would be in to speak with me. She promptly came in and told me that I needed to pay $175 for this “extra cleaning”. Wow, getting paid for the regular cleaning adding my $175 would round up neatly to about $250 for them. Hmmmm. I asked that they do a regular cleaning and they declined citing the doctor’s exam and if I couldn’t follow their plan I couldn’t have any cleaning. This is just an FYI because it seemed to me that they are asking too much. You’ll decide for yourself, I guess. Good luck with that.
