Dr. Alexander Kogan, DDS

Two years after a routine cleaning and after I moved from SF, I was blindsided by a 'fee' that 'my insurance didn’t cover.' I was confused because I have never experienced this before for an annual cleaning at any other dentist. To make matters worse, they tacked on a 5% 'finance charge' and a $25 late fee every month without any transparency or explantion. When I reached out for clarification (the initial email itself honestly read like a phishing attempt) Cecilia at the front desk continues to provide absolutely no documentation and just states, 'insurance didn't cover it.' I don't have access to my old insurance portal anymore. They are essentially threatening to ruin my credit and send collections agencies after me with no explanation.It’s clear this office prioritizes profit over patient care. I've been dealing with teen grinding for a while now, and took Dr. Kogans advice with his night guard. Noticed a change since I had this done. His office is great, never any problems with scheduling. Highly recommend him

Dr. Kogan and his stadd are great. I recently got a crown placed by him and I'm very happy with how things went. I had a broken tooth, and was a bit worried about what may have needed to be done. In just two visits he was able to correct the issue. I've since bene referreding Dr. Kogan to family and friends.

Dr. Kogan is my dentist. Over the years he's been very helpful to both my son and I. I feel he's always been extremely thorough and careful during any procedures or cleanings I had to have done. Communication or scheduling has never been an issue either.

The front desk person was super friendly and sweet. I feel they greeted me with smiles when I came in. The exam and explanation of a possible issue was very detailed and thorough. I do like the relaxing spa music they had. Felt things were much different when compared to normal dental practices.

My first impression of this practice was that everyone here was very friendly and that the office was clean, appeared to be up to date. It wasn’t hard to setup my initial appointment. I’m a cash paying patient, so my exam and cleaning wasn’t too expensive. I plan on returning for routine visits.

Dr. Kogan is knowledgeable and caring. He is always up-to-date with the latest advances in dentistry. The office is top-notch. Staff is very friendly. And the best part is that they are not as expensive as they appear to be. The practice is very high end, high quality, hi-tech, but their fees are very reasonable. They accept my insurance and I pay very little for my dental treatment. I recommend Dr. K and SF dental spa highly!
