Initially, his manner seemed a little brusque. Then I found him to be extremely knowledgeable about his craft, options available, and benefits of different treatments. When I had fillings done on my teeth, he was extremely gentle and willing to answer my questions. He also seemed to interact well with the staff in the office.

The first red flag was an open bag of medical waste/trash on the counter next to the surgical supplies at Willamette Dental. Leaking germs and contaminants into the air. Dr. Stevens suggested I not have any anesthesia, as it was "generally not needed by most people" while dental work is being performed. What? Then he starts poking his sharp instruments on the wrong side of my mouth and intentionally popped out a filling he placed there a few months ago. He laughed. "Sorry! I put a filling last time on the WRONG side of your mouth. These mistakes happen," or words to that effect. He backtracked and then said I had told him to put a filling in on the wrong side of my mouth months ago. Really? I explained I did not make recommendations for my own dental procedures and the fillings were recommended by a periodontist. I put a stop to the procedure before he could make any more painful mistakes to my mouth. My mouth is still in pain. Never going there, ever again.
